Women's Center's 10th Annual Spring Gala

The Women’s Center will be celebrating 37 years of serving families and the community at our 10^th annual “Shelter From the Storm” spring fundraiser on Friday, May 4^th from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Matrix Conference & Banquet Center in Danbury.

The Center is very pleased to announce this year’s special honoree is Western Connecticut State University for their active support of its mission by empowering and educating. There is a long history of collaboration between the two entities, which became a formal partnership in 2005. Since that time, the Center has been providing primary prevention, education and training programs to the campus community, as well as the establishment of a campus office where counseling and support services are offered.

Glori Norwitt, President of the Board and Co-Chair of the Gala committee, states, “The Women’s Center is delighted to recognize WCSU, a valuable community resource with whom we have enjoyed a longstanding partnership.”

Gala attendees will enjoy a delicious dinner, live music and a chance to bid on some fabulous items at both live and silent auctions.  Infamous Comedienne Christine O’Leary will once again entertain the crowd during the live auction.

The Women’s Center is also selling Raffle tickets now through May 6^th featuring the Grand Prize of an amazing week in a beachfront villa at the Esperanza Resort and Spa in Los Cabos, Mexico, including airfare for two. The first prize is a $1,000 American Express Gift Card. The winners will be announced at the Gala.
