Milford Downtown Farmers' Market
Every Saturday morning, from 9-1, June through October, the parking lot at 58 River Street, Milford, CT, is transformed into a bustling farmers market. While listening to live music, you can browse the many Connectitcut farm vendors selling products such as fresh berries, fruits, veggies and greens of all kinds, jams, jellies, pickles, fresh made soap and natural body products, honey, beeswax candles, eggs, goat cheese, Brazilian empadas, corn, baklava and other greek pastries, sheep and alpaca fiber and products, fresh made soups, natural grass fed beef and pork, natural granola and granola bars, bedding plants, fresh cut flowers, organic fresh baked breads, muffins, focaccia and tons more! Every week children are encouraged to bring a non-perishable item for the donation basket located at the face painting tent, and they can then get their face painted for free. Forgot your item or didn't know? No worries, face painting is always free. There are also educational booths, chair massages, demonstrations, and much more. This market has been a downtown tradition for many years, and has become a much appreciated and anticipated community event. The market opens early, 9 a.m. every Saturday, so if you have weekend plans, you'll still have time to visit and pick up everything you need before heading out for your weekend.
