STAMFORD, CT - The First County Bank Summer Concert Series at Calf Pasture Beach schedule was recently posted to Norwalk’s Recreation & Parks’ Website. This will be the fourth consecutive year First County Bank sponsors the concert series. The sponsorship ensures all 11 concerts are free and open to the public.

The theme this year is tribute bands, including Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, sounds of the 1960s, a salute to the 70s, Woodstock and The Beatles. The weekly concerts typically attract 1000 to 1500 people and begin June 27 and continue through Sept. 5.

“First County has been a supporter of the City of Norwalk for years. We try to be involved with as many summer events as possible,” said Kathy Harris, president of First County Bank. “We proudly support Norwalk’s Recreation and Parks department’s summer concert series at Calf Pasture Beach. These free concerts allow Norwalk residents and others to enjoy live music and entertainment under the stars.

“At First County Bank, we work closely with local organizations throughout lower Fairfield County to develop innovative and effective ways to serve our local communities. We thank the City of Norwalk, Mayor Richard Moccia and Recreation and Parks’ Director Michael Mocciae for sharing our commitment to helping make communities better because we are there," added Harris.

“As mayor of the City of Norwalk, and on behalf of our residents, I want to once again thank First County Bank for its continued generosity in sponsoring the City of Norwalk’s 2012 summer concerts and entertainment before and after our July 3 fireworks display,” said Mayor Moccia.

Calf Pasture Beach Park is located at 69 Calf Pasture Beach Rd. in Norwalk. Additional concert information is available online at http://www.norwalkct.org/index.aspx?NID=297 or by calling 203.854-7806.

Parking at Calf Pasture Beach is free for residents with Norwalk beach stickers on their cars. Without a beach sticker the parking fee is $5 per car. On Tuesday, July 3, Norwalk hosts its Independence Day fireworks display that typically attracts more than 20,000 spectators; a fee of $20 is charged for cars without a Norwalk beach sticker. Cars with beach stickers will be allowed in free.
