Artists in all media who would like to be considered for exhibiting artist membership in the Rowayton Arts Center may download the Exhibiting Artist Standards and a bio form from the web site at www.rowaytonartscenter.org or obtain from the RAC office (call 203-866-2744 or email rowart@snet.net).

Applicants should bring a short biography (include mailing address, e-mail and phone number) and three framed works or one sculpture (together with photos or slides of other sculptured works) to the RAC Gallery, at 145 Rowayton Avenue, Rowayton, CT 06853, on Thursday, May 24, between 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m. There is no submission fee.

Works must have been done within the past three years. The committee meets on Friday, May 25. Applicants will pick up their works on Friday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, May 26, from 12:00 noon and 5:00 p.m.

The Exhibiting Artist Selection Committee meets three times each year -- in January, May and September. Among the benefits of exhibiting artist membership is the opportunity to participate and sell art in monthly RAC exhibitions.

For more than 50 years the Rowayton Arts Center (RAC) has been a community cultural hub that provides a welcoming environment for regional artists to exhibit and sell their work, exchange arts-related ideas and participate in classes and workshops for creative people of all ages and at all levels. RAC is located in the heart of Rowayton on the scenic banks of the Five Mile River. The Arts Center Gallery is open to the public and admission is free. Gallery hours are 12:00 noon-5:00 p.m. on Tuesday through Saturday and 1:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday.
