Second Annual comedy festival coming to Webster Bank Arena

BRIDGEPORT, CT - The 2nd Annual Connecticut Comedy Festival is coming to Webster Bank Arena on October 12, 2012. This year’s lineup features D.L. Hughley, Rickey Smiley, Adele Givens, Mark Curry and Faizon Love.

Tickets go on sale Monday, May 14, 2012 at the arena’s Click It or Ticket Box Office or through Ticketmaster by calling 800-745-3000 or at ticketmaster.com. Tickets are $45, $55 and $75.

Hughley, a member of the Original Kings of Comedy tour, is a star of television, radio and film. He has hosted the BET Awards, hosted his own CNN show and appeared as a correspondent on the Jay Leno Show.

Smiley is a radio personality, musician, television host and actor whose prank phone calls have been featured on five albums.

Givens is a film and television personality and a member of the original Queens of Comedy tour, featuring Mo’Nique, who has performed at Webster Bank Arena.

Curry has appeared in numerous television shows and starred in the ABC series “Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper.”

Love has appeared in dozens of films and television shows, including “Elf,” “Couples Retreat,” and “Friday.”

Last year’s Connecticut Comedy Festival featured Mike Epps, Bruce Bruce, Sheryl Underwood and Tony Rock.
