The course will address driving rules including new laws, how to handle left turns and blind spots, and best practices for highway driving. It will also present defensive driving techniques including how to properly operate a motor vehicle around tractor-trailers. “In addition, we’ll discuss how age related changes to vision and hearing can affect driving skills by slowing down reaction time,” said AARP District Coordinator Ralph Muschett. “We’ll go over ways to help people safely adapt to those changes on the road.” The course is $12 for AARP members and $14 for non-members. Upon successful completion of the course, attendees may qualify for a discount on their auto insurance. The class does not include a road test and will be held entirely indoors.
