Stamford HS football players to represent Stamford in the Governors Cup football game

Chandler Foster and Matt Corcoran of Stamford High have been selected to participate in the Governors Cup football game representing Connecticut against Rhode Island.

Chandler was voted First Team All State by the Connecticut High School Coaches Association, named All State by Hearst Newspapers, and named First Team All FCIAC.

Matt Corcoran was named First Team All FCIAC and earned an All State Honorable Mention.

The game is scheduled for June 30th at Rentschler Field at UConn Storrs.

In addition to the honor of representing Stamford and the State of Connecticut, Chandler and Matt are selling tickets to the game for $8 and hope to have a large Stamford contingent in the stands for the game.
