We applaud their ongoing commitment to the children and families of lower Fairfield County.” With a special focus on youth suicide and violence prevention, the EMPS team provides immediate mental health assessment and crisis stabilization services for children and adolescents experiencing serious psychiatric symptoms and severe reactions to a recent traumatic event. Services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with services provided where they are needed, at home, school or in the community. For immediate help with any youth behavioral crisis, please dial 211 to be connected with the local EMPS team. However, please do not wait until it is an emergency to get help.
