HARTFORD, CT - Pampered pooches and their owners hit the runway at the Strut Your Mutt charity fashion show at Evergreen Walk Park in South Windsor on June 12th in support of Our Companions Animal Rescue. New Country Mercedes-Benz in Hartford served as the presenting sponsor of the entertaining event that raised over $4,600 for the Connecticut-based nonprofit organization that goes to extraordinary lengths to help animals in need.
“We are incredibly grateful to New Country for making this event amazingly successful” said Susan Linker, Chief Executive Officer of Our Companions. “99% of our operating costs such as vet bills, pet food, various sanctuary and operational expenses for our Program Center in Manchester, are made possible by the generosity of the community.”
The private event also included a complimentary lunch provided by Burtons Grill, a swag bag, live music from New England's high-energy dance band, Heads Over Heels, and a chance to win great prizes and more. Debbie Wright, owner of Project Closet, was the host of show featuring the latest spring styles for dogs and their owners.
